You next stop should be Venice which is another popular tourist attraction. It is known for its beautiful Venetian Lagoon and gondola rides along the canals which are highly recommended to try. Most of the top attractions are easily within walking distance and it is the best way to discover such places as St. Mark's Square, St. Marks Basilica, The Doges Palace. The city’s most important part is the Grand Canal where fine Gothic and Renaissance buildings line up. Away from the main attractions, Venice is characterized by narrow canals, small squares.
After Venice visit Florence which is is one of the beautiful cities in the world due to the Medici family's power and patronage. Florence is an open sky museum where you discover history and art through Piazza Duomo, Piazza della Signoria, Renaissance palaces. One of the finest museums is The Uffizi Gallery in Florence. Not far apart Siena and Pisa are the next tourist destinations in Tuscany region. Everybody has heard of the Leaning Tower of Pisa which is perhaps the most popular tourist attraction in Italy. It has been closed to the public since 1990, the tower has now reopened following a long restoration project to reduce its tilt. The bell tower stands next to the elegant 11th-century Gothic Cathedral and the Baptistery.
Turin is the fourth-largest city in Italy. It has also become the automobile capital of the country. Fiat, the automobile giant offers guided tours of their factory where you can trace the history of the car on an international level. Turin or Torino and the Piedmont region were in the world spotlight as the home of the Winter Olympic Games in 2006. Turin is centered on the main shopping street, Via Roma and this street links the city’s favorite square, the Piazza San Carlo, with its dramatic building such as Baroque Palazzo Madama, which houses the Museum of Ancient Art and the Egyptian Museum, the second-largest in the world after Cairo.

And finally, Naples which is the third largest city in Italy. It is famous for its pizza as this delicacy was invented in the city. Set on the Bay of Naples it is overshadowed by Mount Vesuvius which is still an active volcano. Set between the sea and the hills, Naples amaze tourists with its artistic and cultural heritage. Naples also offers excellent base to visit the ancient city of Pompeii and the stunningly beautiful Amalfi Coast.
